The six weeks internship at Robert Franco Inc. manufacturer of lampshades allowed me to enhance myskills and tools as a designer. I have seen the importance of lighting and the variety of effect and differencesit can bring to an environment.I worked on the design of several lampshades concepts. I was asked since the beginning to come upwith new ideas that could inspire a new collection of products. Since my client was mainly a manufacturer,I had to respect his production capacity and restrictions. However, I was able to create simple and elegantlampshades concepts that could easily be produced.I also worked on some graphic design. I was asked to create templates that could be printed onlampshades tissue or vinyl. My client and I decided to create something for kids. So, I ended up creating abuilding façade print. The idea was to be able to print it on standing rectangular lampshades. Since my clienthad several sizes of these lampshades, we will have ended up with several “building lampshades” of differentsizes and colors.
