VTQ :Touristic Bike - 2014
VTQ is a touristic bike designed for the city of Quebec. This project was made as part of an academic course that focuses on ergonomics. That being said, VTQ was designed in order to offer its users a higher level of comfort in comparison to traditional bikes. In fact, the saddle and the handler are both adjustable. The handlebar allows two different grips. As a part of the project, we had to do ergonomics analysis in order to document several postures on bikes. This part allowed us to get to a posture that we consider comfortable We used SolidWorks CADHuman in order to evaluate the efficiency of the design. This project lasted 3 months during which my collegue and I did some ergonomic analysis, conceptual design of the bike and a presentation of the interface that will be installed on VTQ.
Interface
VTQ is also equipped with a screen interface equipped with many features. This interface contains several applications that can assist tourists throughout their journey. Mounted on a retractable and adjustable screen, this interface was designed to be user-friendly. A PowerPoint presentation was made in order to demonstrate the interface and the functionality
of all the applications.
